[29 Sep 2003|12:59pm] [ mood | aggravated ] Greetings from Seville, Spain, where I am seated at an internet cafe and OBVIOUSLY not writing/drawing temptation and struggling with this European keyboard. What is also obvious is that the hosting problem is not sorted as I have no access to the pictures that frailart was hosting (grr) and so I need to make use of my laptop which is currently across the sea at the moment. Apologies to anyone who was expecting pictures and intead got frailart's annoying sign. Will return to the Land of Oz on October the tenth, will hopefully have at least a page done. 3 tempted::tempt me

[25 Aug 2003|07:49pm] [ mood | exhausted ] [ music | Here With Me, Dido ] Hooray, quick excuse update and then I'm off again slaving away at schoolwork. Currently, the second page stands at one semi-completed panel. I've had certain troubles in my personal life and have been completely overrun by some big projects for school, so as far as spare time goes, I've had zilch. I'm also off to Europe (!) in two weeks' time; I'm going to London, Italy and Spain for a total of five weeks, leaving on Friday the 5th of September. Hopefully I'll have the second page done by then, and my mother is supplying me with art supplies galore (though no laptop or scanner, unsurprisingly), so I should be producing at least two to three pages while I'm over there. Now, off to go and torture myself with Australian Political Studies... 2 tempted::tempt me

[12 Aug 2003|04:17pm] [ mood | exhausted ] I'd go and do something like start drawing up the first page, except that I am utterly, utterly exhausted from school today and therefore will probably take a nap before anything. Just a conceptual sketch here of the Neutrino 40X, the standard issue LEP gun in Temptation. Because I'm a nitwit who likes to dillydally on the fine details. The Temptation cover. Pens, marker, Photoshop. Fonts used are Dirty Ego and TfuTfu, which can be found at spoono.com. It's not great, but it's Julius. Marker, .1 Fineliner, fountain pen. [10 Aug 2003|07:03pm] Well, it turns out that I have lied to blueyeti; I told her I'd have both Briar and Root - cover version - done by today. This was said on the assumption that I wouldn't go anywhere today, but alas, I had four hours cut out of my day. I still got Briar done, rather slap-dash, but it'll suffice for the uses on the cover. It's big, but according to Photoshop it should take 40 seconds with a 28.8k modem. So you might want to right click and Save Target As instead so you're not staring at half of Briar's head. I'd change the size, but it ruins the screen tones and it makes them look like small bricks. Briar Cudgeon, 30 years before the Fowl debacle. Welcome to the journal of Temptation, an Artemis Fowl comic written in three parts. This journal is maintained by insanelonewolf, and will contain plot concepts, conceptual art and the fully written comic as it progresses. I have to warn you now that there is violence, sexual connotations and strong language, so keep that in mind. Much thanks to blueyeti, who provided me with a code. To start us off, I've got a couple of pictures of Opal Koboi, thirty years before the first Fowl Affair. They're quite big, so if you have a slow connection, I apologise.
